I started out first as an MC thru my rap group Madd Poets and I was always interested and curious on how rap music is produced. Mejo fortunate lang ako dahil I was able to witness how rap music is done thru Kuya Andrew. And yes eto na talaga gusto ko gawin to produce music lalo na rap music.
2. Anong kanta (local o foreign) ang nagsilbing inspirasyon sayo bilang producer?
Naku Madami iba ibang genre hahah pero sa rap music foreign one of them was Audio Two by Top Billin' which was introduced to me by Kuya Andrew kasi that beat was done on an sp1200 yung kick and snare was malutong. As for the local yung mga early works sa album ni Francis M I think it was Noel Macanayang (DJ MOD) and Jimmy Antriporda productions. Other than these albums the artist I get to work with is an inspiration for me.
Well I started really sa puro hiram lang from my DJ Friends I remember DJ Master Shock had a 4track Tascam hihiniram ko cya paikot ikot lang sa circle nila. Then DJ Mic Martinez had a Gemini mixer with sampler na hinihiram ko din. Hiram lahat. Then when we were signed sa record label na Ill Is It, Chill bought us a roland Ms 1 na sampler, then nanghihiram din ako kay Kuya Drew ng Korg x5d nya and his Gemini sampler. Eventually when I was getting various opportunities to produce music for other artist naginvest nako. One of the few samplers drum machines I bought was the ASR X from Rada of Kulay which yun di pala ginamit ni Boom for Legit and their album. After that ayun na sunod sunod na MPCs etc.. The 1st DAW I used was the Cubase Atari version in which Boom and Dave Yu Introduced me to that dun ko naexperience yung the drum machine can be trigged via Midi hahaha!

Whenever I get to work with an artist I make a research 1st ano ba vibe neto, character, texture ng boses, then I ask a title of his song kahit working title lang para may launch pad ako. Also when I produce I make sure I produce meaning sa delivery, sa tone ng chorus etc.. kino call out ko cya, gina guide etc…
It's always been boom bap production for me ever since I started producing. If you will get to listen to some of my early works boombap Talaga and di ko cya inown or clinaim na king of it. After all I don’t own it. Modesty aside since ive been listening to Hiphop music almost half of my life I can do different styles of rap music production from boombap, lofi ,trap, drill, jersey, etc…
Also lingid sa kaalaman ng karamihan I'm a very prolific and versatile producer and I've produced a lot of songs for artist that is out of my comfort zone. I've also done music production for jingles etc..
7. Nagrarap ka rin dati. Balak mo ba ituloy 'to o mas tutok ka talaga sa beats ngayon?
Ah yes nangarap cympre it all starts with a dream and more on rap and hiphop misc production ako talaga now.
Well we are still solid kahit wala na si Coy, our relationship goes beyond as a rap group brothers kami from diff mothers, for now we have plans on doing a mini concert to celebrate the music of our group and to celebrate D-coy and give honor to him.
9. Naging parte ka rin ng Ghetto Doggs, Dongalo Wreckords, Madd World Entertainment, at Cirulo Pugantes. Kumusta ang experience mo sa mga 'to at ano mga natutunan mo bilang kasapi ng mga kolektibong 'to?
Very very fortunate and colorful sa Dongalo Wreckords, Ghetto Doggs, I get to see and experience how rap music production is done thru Kuya Andrew, thru him lahat na ng classic na studios ata narecordan and napasukan namin. From Papin, PM, GreenHillsSound, CinemaAudio, Sonic 8, Viva etc.. and we also met some legendary audio engineers. Sa Maddworld naman and Circulo iba din dynamics dahil we get to work with different producers and we work with label heads and of course we work with artists directly.
Basically it's an MCs 16 verse thru a live beat performance on my samplers and drum machines. Andami ko kasi mga beats na nakaimbak sabi ko magiging mas may saysay to pag may mga MCS to drop verses. So I have this very good friend of mine JayJay Cauba of Ppot who is a photographer and videographer malupit na video editor din whom I worked with on other projects na di hiphop related sabi ko kaw mag direk ako na bahala sa performance and artist so yun BKBM was created. To date meron kami 7 epsiodes mejo na park lang for a while dahil nasunugan si jayjjay and ive been a little busy with other endeavors pero tutuloy parin naman cya this year. So watch out now!
I think it would be D-coy kasi he is in everyone’s radar, and producer din cya like me sometimes we clash not because of ego lipas na kami dun more on how passionate we are. At the end of the day, we agree to disagree. Also, with Jamir Garcia sometime in 2k I did a remix of their song “Get Away” for their album Back to the 2 Inch under Virgin EMI. Challenging cya kasi I have no idea how to remix a song and more over how to give justice to a song that’s is a Slapshock original. Eventually naitwaid challenging din cya kasi I was with other producer their like Raims Marasigan, Rico Blanco, Francis Guevarra, and Quiazzy Illeon and cympre kaialangan pumasa kay Jamir mismo.
Ang masasabi ko lang eh napakaswerte nila dahil technology is already available di gaya ng time ko it was challenging ngayon you can make beats via PC. Also napakdami na magagaling din ngayon and swerte sila dahil Maganda ang bigayan. Also in hiphop its so diverse now you can do crossovers of various genre and put an element of hiphop vibe.

Be passionate about study different genre keep listening and keep innovating. Also listen to some classic hiphop music production para authentic ka.
I've got listeners not only here but from around the world saying na some of the music I did was part of their lives and has been an inspiration for them to keep moving when they were in their darkest days. I'm honored na I'm also viewed by my peers as a rap and hiphop music producer lalo na sa mga artist I worked with; without them blessing verses and putting their voices and heart to the beats I produced, it wont make a lasting impact. Sabi ko nga sa sarili ko I may never have a hit pero I have a lot of classic songs that is still in someone’s playlist.
As for projects I just finished the album of Ill J of SVC called Ethos. With me on that album is Chrizo and Dash. 3 is on Spotify we got a few more coming out. As for future projects, I'm working with this MC named Chino Stacks magaling din cya and we already have some songs out on YT and Spotify, also hopefully new song from Madd Poets with Caine of El Latino, and hopefully matuloy yung EP namin ni Kemikal Ali.
