The first Second Sight took place on the 20th of March 2010 at the legendary B-Side in Makati. It went on a three-year hiatus before making its comeback in 2014. Since then, Second Sight has been known as the event that happens in the early part of the year. In 2026, FlipTop will hold the15th edition. Upon release of the poster on social media, fans are already calling it a candidate for event of the year. So, what makes it special? Let’s talk about it now.
Second Sight 15 is now being hailed as an “early Ahon” type of affair and not only because it’s two days, but because of the quality of the matches. Firstly, all of the first-round Isabuhay 2026 battles will happen here. Looking at the lineup, it has the potential to be another historic tournament. We have hard-hitting veterans, new fan favorites, and some solid up-and-comers. Prepare for an unpredictable contest! You can read more about the tournament here.
We will witness another 2-on-2 matchup on day one! Ahon 15 was the last time we saw a Dos Por Dos battle. Here, CripLi will once again team up with Towpher to face the duo of Shernan and Hazky. Each emcee is known for their creativity, strong presence, and unpredictable angles, and for sure, they will give us a classic at Second Sight 15.
Vitrum vs Zend Luke is shaping up to be a hard-hitting back-and-forth verbal war. While they may be different in approaching concepts and punchlines, they’re both razor-sharp when it comes to lyricism and delivery. Jonas vs Empithri is an interesting bout because while they’re very effective in their respective styles, they’re highly skilled in mixing up other battle rap elements in their material. We’re expecting no dull moments here.
Katana vs Invictus is the battle of the Isabuhay champions! Invictus is more technical while Katana is more direct, but they both have a commanding presence and they’re haymakers are innovative and devastating. M Zhayt vs Plaridhel might surprise us all! The two emcees are equipped with impeccable technical lines, but can also deliver some of the wittiest jokes. Sayadd vs Marshall Bonifacio, if they bring their A-game, can be a battle of the night contender. They can spit haymaker after haymaker while coming up with groundbreaking schemes and concepts. Zaki vs Ban is definitely a must-see for battle rap fans. Both rappers have a flawless delivery and their well-rounded material continues to astound viewers.
A promising Isabuhay and some must-see non-tournament bouts. Second Sight 15 is indeed a guaranteed epic two-night extravaganza.
