After watching the amazing battles, check out these other segments from the league.
Since 2010, FlipTop has been giving us quality rap battles featuring some of the best emcees from all over the country. Up to now, the majority of the videos have gotten over a million views and are part of the top 10 trending on social media. It shows no signs of slowing down, and anyone who says otherwise is clearly just a hater. While the league may be well-known for its rap battles, it also produces content that has gained a solid following.
After enjoying the matches from your PC, laptop, or phone, make sure you check out these other FlipTop segments. It’s already the second part, so if you haven’t read the previous one, click here. Let’s begin!
Sound Check
Sound Check started during the Ahon 12 uploads, and it’s a behind-the-scenes look at a FlipTop event. We hear the thoughts of the competing emcees and some members of the crowd regarding the card. Anygma also gives a detailed analysis of every battle in the lineup, providing us with a deeper understanding of his matchmaking style. It’s now the league’s tradition to release a full episode of Sound Check before uploading the battles.
Anygma Machine
Anygma Machine began as a battle review video series from the league president himself during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The segment took a brief hiatus after ten episodes, and on the 31st of October 2022, it returned with a brand new format. It became an avenue for Anygma to discuss each battle in an event. While he already talks about the matches at Sound Check, Anygma Machine offers a more in-depth approach here, even offering his unbiased predictions.
Tutok
Only one episode of Tutok has been uploaded so far, and there’s no word yet about the next one. Hopefully, we’ll see a new video soon because it’s a great way to hype up an event. For the UFC fans, Tutok is similar to the Countdown series, where a narrator breaks down not only the card but also the event itself. Basically, it tells the story behind an upcoming event and why it’s a must-see.
Silip
Silip is very much like Sound Check, wherein it gives viewers an up-close look at a FlipTop event. What makes it different, aside from the length, is that it provides visual perspectives from other members of the staff, the emcees, and the crowd. We’ll get a glimpse of the happenings backstage and in the audience area. It’s like being part of the event itself, despite not being there physically. Only two episodes have been released so far, but watch out for more.
