We are now on the road to the finals of this year’s Isabuhay Tournament. Let’s take a look at the emcees who will be competing!
The semifinals of the Isabuhay 2025 Tournament took place at Bwelta Balentong 12 last Saturday at Metrotent. As always, both battles exceeded expectations and silenced the critics. Lhipkram vs Ban was a back-and-forth showcase of raw aggression, hard-hitting bars, and rhyme schemes. Katana vs Saint Ice featured not only creative angles, but also witty punchlines and sharp delivery. Now, we are down to two emcees.
We will talk about the two rappers who will be facing off in the finals so if you haven’t watched the semis live and wish to avoid spoilers, stop reading this article now. If you’re still here, then let’s proceed with the discussion. Based on their previous performances, it’s certainly shaping up to be a historic finals.
Lhipkram
Obviously, Lhipkram has the advantage when it comes to experience. He’s part of arguably one of the best Isabuhay Finals ever against M Zhayt, which was a very close match, so heading into this one, he’s definitely much more motivated. His signature “style breakdown” remains highly effective, thanks to his convincing delivery and well-constructed lines and multis. Apart from that, he always spits clever jokes and can also be brutal whenever needed. Unpredictable is the best word to describe Lhipkram as a battle emcee. We feel he will give it his all in the finals. It’s his second chance, and he will make sure he sits on the throne this time.
Katana
It’s Katana’s first foray into Isabuhay, and he’s already a finalist. He already deserves props for that. Now, can he win the championship? What makes Katana a legitimate threat is his innovative approach to traditional battle rap elements. Yes, his verses are all directed to his opponents, but he makes sure his angles and references stay unique. While the majority of the emcees rely on aggressive deliveries, Katana chooses a more laidback approach, giving him a more unpredictable vibe. So can he be champ? If he continues to bring something new to the table while keeping his haymakers intact, then it’s a big YES.
