Why Unibersikulo 13 Will Be Historic

Last week, FlipTop released the poster for the next Metro Manila event: Unibersikulo 13. It will be held on the 19th of July 2025 at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig. The card consists of three much-awaited quarterfinal Isabuhay matchups and five equally exciting non-tournament showdowns. So if you’re still thinking about buying tickets, let us tell you why you shouldn’t miss this one.
Firstly, who wouldn’t want to witness the Isabuhay battles live? Lhipkram vs K-Ram has the potential to be a masterclass of witty humor and complex pen game. Carlito vs Katana is shaping up to be a showdown of creativity, intricacy, and presence. Fans are expecting Zaki vs Saint Ice to be a technical showcase mixed with raw energy and plenty of MMA references. Each emcee had a stellar performance in the first round, so expect them to exceed that here. It’s an unpredictable affair, and you shouldn’t miss it!
The main event of the evening features the returning veteran Zaito taking on the current generation representative Manda Baliw. These are two of the most beloved comedy emcees in battle rap. Obviously, you can expect some unforgettable and innovative humor, but apart from that, there’s a huge chance they’ll also showcase hard-hitting lyricism. Poison13 vs Batang Rebelde is a clash of two criminally underrated lyricists. At Unibersikulo 13, they will certainly bring their A-game and hopefully get the respect that they deserve. JDee vs Yuniko could be a sleeper battle of the night. Despite losing their previous matches, these emcees earned the admiration of fans due to their impressive showing. On July 19, there’s no doubt they will come back stronger than ever.
Sirdeo vs. Shaboy could be either a very entertaining or very awkward matchup. Let’s just hope it’s the former! While they’re mostly known for their antics, never underestimate the pen game of these rappers. Negho Gy and CRhyme vow to show everyone how great the new generation of FlipTop is. For this bout, prepare for hard punchlines, impressive metaphors, and awe-inspiring rhyme schemes!
It’s the third event at the Metrotent Convention Center, and if you ask anyone who’s attended before, they’ll say it’s a spectacular venue. Not only is it very spacious and clean, it’s also equipped with quality air-conditioning in every corner. You will feel comfortable while enjoying the intense exchange on stage. When it’s break time, the legendary DJ Supreme Fist will keep you entertained with some head bobbing hip-hop music.
As with any other FlipTop affair, just being there in the crowd is already a memorable moment. See the battles up-close, be part of the loud reactions, and interact with fellow fans and the emcees themselves. It may be overused, but it’s 100% true every time Anygma says “iba pa rin pag live” (it’s one-of-a-kind experience live). You have to be there to fully appreciate it!
