Sound Check made its debut in March 2022. At first, the segment focused on the behind-the-scenes of a FlipTop event. We get a glimpse of the entire staff at work and hear the thoughts of emcees and some of the fans in attendance. Anygma will then discuss not only the lineup, but also the event’s planning process. A new episode is usually released before the battles are uploaded or midway through.
On the road to Ahon 13, the league added a new feature to Sound Check: exclusive interviews of the two Isabuhay finalists. The tradition continued for the 2023 and 2024 tournaments. In 2025, FlipTop did something different once again. The latest edition now puts a spotlight to the emcees who will be competing for the semifinals.
The two new episodes were released on September 1, 2025. See Lhipkram, Ban, Saint Ice, and Katana in their hometown, sharing their thoughts about their upcoming bouts. For those who haven’t seen it yet, we highly recommend that you do. Yes, you will certainly get even more hyped up for Bwelta Balentong 12, but apart from that, you will get to know the final four more. Find out their motivations behind joining the tournament and what it means for them to headline a big event. There’s a huge chance you will have a much deeper respect for them after watching.
