After the battles of Second Sight 15 day 1, Anygma officially announced the next FlipTop event with a brand new name: Write Off Way. It’s another two-day affair, taking place on the 23rd and 24th of May 2026 at Matchpoint Sports Bar & Events in Shaw. You wouldn’t want to miss this and let us explain to you exactly why…
Write Off Way will feature the highly anticipated quarterfinal matches of Langit Lupa. Ever since the upload of the first bout, fans are hooked to the tournament, enjoying not only the battles, but also the new generation of emcees. Even those who’ve criticized the lineup for not having “fan favorites” changed their opinion when they saw these lyricists from different underground leagues nationwide collide. Expectations are indeed very high for the quarters, and we’re sure the eight remaining competitors are ready to shock us all again. Goodluck to you all!
Speaking of the new gen, both days of the event will see the debut of the first batch of Process of Illumination 8 picks. We have 16 of the most promising underground battle rappers competing on the FlipTop stage. If you’re not familiar with them, watch their matches on YouTube. Apart from their impressive rap skills, they have something unique to offer style-wise. It’s arguably the most diverse batch ever. Don’t sleep on them! Remember, your idols were once up-and-comers too.
There will also be veterans from the league who will make their return at Write Off Way. While not exactly considered “big names”, they have a distinct approach in lyricism and performance and can make a huge impact. The setting of the event gives them an opportunity to perform some battle rap magic.
It’s back to the small room setup on May 23 and 24! Ask anyone who has attended before and they will all say it’s an unforgettable experience. The big stage events are amazing no doubt, but the intimate vibes can also offer epic moments. You’re much closer to the action and because of that, you can take in the intensity and lyrical content more. Don’t forget that the league started out in this setting, so attending Write Off Way is like a trip back to the early days. Plus, the Matchpoint menu is sure to satisfy your appetite. Here are the prices of pre-sale tickets: 750 pesos for one day and 1350 pesos for two days. It includes one free FlipTop Beer and a 100 peso off food stub. Walk-in costs 1000 pesos per day.
