On Saturday, November 8, 2025, FlipTop will take a break from battle rap to put a spotlight on Philippine hip-hop music. The event is called FlipTop Live, and it will be held at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig. It’s the first event of the league that focuses on music since the FlipTop Festival in 2020. The night will be headlined by three Pinoy hip-hop heavyweights: Loonie, Gloc-9, and Bambu. While they may be different in styles, each artist made a significant impact in the scene and has gained a strong following worldwide.
Joining the emcee performance roster are fellow lyrical juggernauts KJah, Mhot, and Kemikal Ali. FlipTop Live also features a lineup of some of the most respected turntablists and producers, namely DJs Arbie Won, Supreme Fist, Nicko, and Phatrick. Each performer will have a longer set than usual, hence the small lineup. Nevertheless, it’s the perfect opportunity for the audience to delve further into the complex minds of these gifted musicians.
Like what we said earlier, it’s the first hip-hop music event from the league in five years, so it’s already a must-see! Ask anyone who has attended the festival in 2020 and they will all say that it was an unforgettable experience. By witnessing a collaboration of emcees and DJs on stage, you can proudly say you’ve seen a complete and legit hip-hop show. FlipTop Live is supposed to be a two-day event, with the other one being held in Cebu on the night before the Manila leg. Unfortunately, Cebu and other parts of Visayas suffered the wrath of Typhoon Tino, forcing the league to cancel the affair. You can see Anygma’s full statement here.
