BARA-BARA made its debut on October 5, 2024, and it’s a collaboration podcast between FlipTop and The Linya-Linya Show. We’ve already posted a piece about the first batch of guests of this critically-acclaimed show. You can read it here. For those who are not able to catch up, here are the next batch of episodes. Make sure you check them out! Not only will get an up-close look at the hip-hop of our local artists, but also their origins, creative process, and plans in the future. Let’s start!

K-Ram

Anygma’s favorite and one of FlipTop’s most unpredictable emcees visited the studio for the mid-year episode! What made him pursue battle rap and hip-hop? What was life like before rhyming on the mic? Why is he the FlipTop president’s favorite? These are just some of the questions that he will answer here. Since he’s known to be a solid friend by his peers, he also shared tips on how to keep the bond strong.

Batas

All the way from Canada, we have the two-time Isabuhay Champion, original Pinoy battle rap villain, and Illustrado member Batas. It’s his second appearance in the podcast, and for this episode, he talks about life in Canada, his famous Basehan ng Bawat Hurado and Pagusapan Natin Pare online shows, and what he misses the most in FlipTop and hip-hop. He also gives his insights on judging battles.

Supreme Fist

Apart from being the resident DJ of FlipTop and Uprising, he’s one of the most respected turntablists in Pinoy hip-hop. This episode puts a spotlight on champion DJ and Novaliches’ very own Supreme Fist. The legendary artist shares the history of turntablism (including its Filipino roots), what got him hooked to DJing, and other interesting stories related to the artform and local hip-hop as a whole.

Nina Sandejas

Local battle rap fans may know her from her impressive shots of FlipTop events, but other than that, she has been capturing some of the most memorable moments from the Pinoy music scene for two decades. She is none other than Nina Sandejas. For this episode, we get to see from the point-of-view of this legendary photographer and hear stories about her journeys, from rock concerts to rap battles, with her camera.

Anygma

For the second time, FlipTop head honcho Anygma visits the studio to discuss a variety of topics. Here, he talks about his Frankfurt Book Fair experience, the historic FlipTop Live event, and his thoughts on the 16th edition of Ahon. We will also get a glimpse of FlipTop’s plans for 2026. If you’re curious about the inner workings of the number one league in the world, this is for you.

Katana

BARA-BARA won’t be complete without the presence of an Isabuhay Champion. Two weeks after his impressive performance and victory at Ahon 16, Katana went to the Linya-Linya HQ to tell his story. In this episode, he shares his exciting journey from the underground leagues to the big stage of FlipTop and how he developed his unique battling style. The 2025 champ also provided an up-close look at his preparation for the tournament and his plans for the future.

Mhot

After a historic performance at Ahon 16, Mhot sat down for the show’s latest episode. The Cavite-born emcee talks about his humble beginnings, how he handles the pressure of being undefeated, his record-breaking bout with Tipsy D, and how he balances music, battle rap, and family life. He also discusses the creative process behind “Panalo Kasa”, his critically-acclaimed debut solo album, and his goals for 2026.
